I like to share knowledge, which is why I am not limited just to speaking, but also am interested in workshops / expert tables and moderation. Additionally I have become a frequent advisor for organizers of conferences as well as am involved in several barcamps.

One of my favourite topics is how to grow your business internationally, both from the side of for example the US coming to Europe as vice versa, but I am also happy to 'just' transport what is so special about the net and web 2.0.

Leslie Fishers interest in technology began while studying music at the University of Southern California. She quickly realized the value of utilizing computers for music mixing and recording. She grabbed her 300 baud modem, jumped on the Internet (before anyone really called it the internet) and started looking for music resources. She soon realized she was spending more time discovering technology than playing music so she changed her major and tried to figure out what geeky thing she could do for the rest of her life.

You can classify me as a social analyst who is at the forefront of what is emerging as a newly digitally connected culture. A culture I have chosen to frame as the 'pivotality' of new media in social lives.

At present I am in the final stages of writing up my Doctorate funded by the Economic Social Research Council (ESRC) in the UK based at The University of York. My main interest is in digital social media or rather the new ‘new’ media of that latest buzz-phrase ‘Web 2.0’.
