I worked as a successful attorney in Amsterdam and New York, before becoming an entrepreneur by setting up my own B2B publishing company Brummsbooks. Thereafter, as co-owner and managing director of IENS, I developed this start-up into the no. 1 user generated content database cross media publisher of restaurant guides in The Netherlands (online and offline). I started a database on Female Internet Heroes and writes about that for the next web blog.

I have extensive knowledge of community websites, user generated content proceedings and product development in web 2.0 (data) publishing business. I speak about the growth of start-ups to the next phase, the manner to stimulate innovations in companies, the manner to organize user-generated content, product development in cross media companies and of course my own webbased companies. I also speak also about female entrepreneurship and combine this speech with the introduction of international female heroes, who can serve as a role model and mentor for aspiring entrepreneurs.
